- Next week is Spirit Week everybody!! Monday is Christmas morning, so wear your favorite PJ’s. Tuesday is New Year’s Eve, let’s see some 2010 party hats and favors! Wednesday is holiday colors, so red and green for Christmas, blue and white for Hanukkah, etc. Thursday is snow day, so bundle up like you’re hitting the slopes. And on Friday Rally Day we’ll see which class is the most spirited… freshmen dress as presents, sophomores as reindeer, juniors as elves or Santa’s helpers, and the mighty seniors dress as Santa and Mrs. Claus. Let’s celebrate the holidays in style next week!!! 12-06
- It’s time for the annual DHS Window Decorating Competition!!! Your 4th period class is invited to decorate your window all next week, Dec 7 through 10, and they will be judged next Friday December 11. This year’s theme is Christmas Stories – some examples are Jack Frost, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and The Night Before Christmas. The 4th period class with the most creative display will receive a pizza party on Monday December 14th! Let’s see some awesome window displays!!! 12-06

- Students: Turn in your signed Arena Scheduling forms to the Counseling Center or Attendance Office by 3:30pm Friday, Dec. 4.
- Parent signature is required. Counselors will be working on entering the schedule changes beginning Monday, Dec. 7. Students who make changes in the Arena Scheduling will receive a copy of their new spring schedule prior to finals. No changes will be made in January. 12-04

- We are sure some of you have already heard about the tragic loss of Larry Heynen, father of junior Megan Heynen. To help the Heynan Family, the leadership class will be collecting donations for the Larry Heynen Memorial Fund at lunch on Friday, December 4th in the quad to try to soften the blow of this devastating loss. There will also be donation cans placed in the office, cafeteria, and in Mrs. Jeffreys room, C208 through next week. Give what you can and help the Heynen Family in this time of grief. - Don’t forget! Tomorrow is the day you’ve all been waiting for! It’s the Vegetarian-Club meeting during lunch in D104. Tomorrow, we will have yummy vegetarian Mexican food. We will discuss different things we can do to volunteer to help animals in our community. So, bring your hungry stomachs and your exciting ideas to D104 and join us for some good vegetarian food and stimulating conversation. You do not have to be a vegetarian to attend the meeting; the only requirement is a mind that is open to and curious about the vegetarian diet and way of life. - Have you already bought your yearbook? If you haven’t, buy one this month for the price of $75 before the price goes up in January. Yearbooks are currently being sold in the Student Store at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Checks and Cash are only accepted for payment.
- Are you planning on buying a nameplate for your yearbook? This month will be the last month nameplates are available for purchase for your yearbook. Nameplates are an additional $5. 12-04
